Born in the Ghanzi district, Qgam joined the Kuru Art Project in 1997. He uses his art as a voice to articulate his deep knowledge of the animals, the veld, and the traditions of his people. Qgam is also a good traditional dancer. Flowing images of plants and animals are depicted in carefully thought-out color combinations, resulting in a distinct style of his own. Apart from painting he also enjoys different forms of printmaking including linocuts, dry point engravings and lithographs.
